Yvette Cushman-Baton joyfully serves as the Director and Lead Teacher of Triskelee Sprouts Farm School. Prior to this role, Yvette worked for 13 years both in the classroom and as the Administrator of SunGarden Montessori Children's House. Yvette was also a founding member of Molalla River Academy Charter School, and the Administrative Liaison for Open Montessori Initiative (OMI) for three years. Yvette has worked as a school consultant, parent coach and educational mentor.
Yvette has experience working with a variety of livestock, farm animals and pets, and has deep appreciation for the outdoors. She believes that the opportunity for children to have experiences with animals and nature creates an essential and life-long foundation for learning and connection. She raised her two children on four acres in Molalla, where she currently lives.
In addition to Yvette's wealth of professional knowledge and experience, it is her deep-rooted calling to offer children a safe space in which they can be their most authentic selves that makes her such a strong guide to both the community and pedagogy at the heart of Triskelee Sprouts Farm School.
